My favorite portrait shoot of 2022

This series of photos I have on my instagram from this shoot where all inspired by one of my favorite photographer Vuhlandes from his series sticks and stones he did back in 2019, and the infamous photo of Malcom X holding his M1-Carbine looking out the window. Vuhlandes is a photographer from Detroit a city very much like Camden with a whole bunch of bandos and drugs and crime. What people don’t see is the good people that live in these inner cities the thrivers and the survivors. We are not products of our environment, we are not criminals we are just people trying to make it out. Sometimes you just have to protect yourself on that journey out of your environment.
